Tagetes Golden Gem. A particularly attractive variety of this popular half hardy annual. It has a dwarf, neat shape making it excellent for edging borders and for outdoor containers. Deep golden flowers are produced in profusion throughout the summer. Flowers early summer to first frosts.

How to Sow
Sow in spring at 21-24C (70-75F) in a good seed compost. Just cover the seed with compost and keep the soil damp but not wet. Germination usually takes 5-14 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 1-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 23-3cm (9-12in) apart in a sunny spot.
Culinary note
The citrus tasting flowers have many uses, try them in salads, sandwiches or seafood dishes too.
